The point of staying at the Songtsam Meili is to take it easy. After our various journeys, this was very welcome.
You can watch the sun go down over the Snow Mountain, and then watch it come up again, early the next morning.
There are five families living in Tibetan houses in the valley, and you can watch them go about their business.
Up the back are some yak meadows. It’s very tranquil.

Sounds conducive to doing nothing. Presumably there was wifi in your room?
I used the freely available Mac in the breakfast room, which was fast. At first, this typed my emails in Chinese characters, before someone helpfully showed me how to switch. I didn’t want to spend too long on the Internet, what with the amazing surroundings to enjoy. There was wifi as well, but the signal in our room wasn’t good.
