The last time we went camping, the alarm of the campervan Power Supply Unit (PSU) sounded in the middle of the night. A message came up on the display “PSU over temp. Cooling down” and the mains supply shut off. I thought for a moment it was serious.
The same thing happened the next night, and the next day each time I tried to connect to the mains supply the alarm sounded.
The people at Sargent were very helpful. First, they sent me a replacement Battery Temp Probe.
I fitted this to the twin black connector beside the auxiliary battery, but it made no difference – the alarm still sounded when connecting to the mains. So Sargent sent me a new EC325 PSU.
I disconnected the auxiliary battery whilst fitting the five leads into the back of the new PSU, and that has solved the problem. It’s once more possible to charge from the mains and put the mains supply on.
