What a wonderful sport skiing is. It gets you outside in the fresh air and sunshine (if you’re lucky). Simply putting on and taking off your ski boots gives you a workout, and skiing at altitude let’s you rediscover muscles you’d forgotten about. It’s also great for the lungs, and then there’s the apres ski.
We’ve just returned from a short break at Les Arcs 2000. Jamie & Shaun are confident skiers and Lindsey’s technique is sound. I’ve never had a skiing lesson, so my technique is poor, but as a result of listening to surf music for 30 years I have great balance, and can get down most runs apart from icey or narrow blacks. The area lift pass at Les Arcs gives you access to over 300 kms of piste, so there was plenty to choose from.
