The photo above was taken at the top of the Arpette lift, at 2413 metres.
The photo above shows the top of the Cabriolet lift, beside Arc 2000. Arc 2000 isn’t the most attractive ski resort, but it has good access to an enormous bowl area.
What you can’t see in the photo above is Mt Blanc, which was shrouded in cloud. This was taken on a difficult red, just below the top of Aiguille Rouge, 3226 metres.
On day three we took the Vanoise Express over to the La Plagne area. In the photo above, Belle Plagne is in the valley to the right.
