On the final evening, the chalet staff produced a banquet, which started with Buck’s Fizz and continued with a magnificent four course meal. The red wine provided at the chalet was much better than the white wine, and there was a lot of white left by the last evening, which I unfortunately decided to drink. Well…someone had to. I didn’t touch any of the gin or whisky that was also doing the rounds, but nevertheless can’t remember much of what happened after the meal, apart from being the last man standing. All I know is that the following pictures, continuing the Happy – Bashful – Angry tradition of this blog (1, 2, 3), were on my camera, the next day.
The trip home from Les Arcs was a a bit of a nightmare. We left at 12.30 and didn’t get to Geneva until 4.30 pm where we were told that two inches of snow at Edinburgh had closed the airport for twelve hours, and our flight had been delayed until 11.45 pm. We got off the ground just before Geneva airport closed at midnight, and eventually arrived home at about 3 am.
