After coffee with Donald the other day in the Elephant House, I walked down the High Street. The light was great, and was illuminating this tourist shop.
I’ve just finished reading James and the Duck, by Faan Martin. It consists of short stories from the Bush War. Whilst looking it up on the Internet, I found the Memories of Rhodesia website, where it’s possible to buy books, audio and film about Rhodesia.
Now I’ve started a new, completely different book, Fear of Hat Loss in Las Vegas, by Brendon Burns.
A new card arrived. It’s a Caxton FX prepaid global traveller card. Now that travel cheques are going the way of the dodo, prepaid cards can take their place. In contrast to most credit cards used overseas, there are no additional conversion or bank charges with the Caxton FX card.
