Hmm. The cricket posts are coming thick and fast.
Today was Scotland v Sri Lanka at Citylets Grange, Edinburgh, in a 50 overs match.
The ground was sold out, and it was a lovely day. Sri Lanka posted a good score of 284 – less than the total that Scotland passed yesterday to beat Ireland at the same ground, so the crowd was hopeful.
However, Malinga got to work early, and eventually took five wickets. His yorkers were far too good for Scotland. Coming in to bat at number three, MacLeod was out for a two-ball duck.
When fielding on the boundary, Malinga signed autographs for the kids. I wanted one, but would have been the oldest in the queue by over 50 years.
Scotland were all out for 101, with Haq top-scoring with 34.
