  3. By email, Martin Kesselman suggested AgNIC http://www.agnic.org/

AgNIC facilitates and participates in partnerships and cooperation among institutions and organizations world-wide that are committed to the identification, delivery and preservation of reliable, freely-available, evaluated, digital content and quality services for agriculture, food, and natural resources information.

You can search, and get feeds, but I can’t see any substantial lists of new research papers.

  14. There is a site called open access dot xyz (http://openaccess.xyz/about.html) which provides access to millions of research papers at no cost. The site actually harvests all of the worlds university web sites (otherwise known as Institutional Repositories (IR)). The content is legitimately free for you because the majority of research performed at universities is publicly funded. Happy searching 🙂
