It’s important not to get in a rut, so yesterday I did something I haven’t done for years – I bought some fish from the fishmongers. I’m not very good at cooking fish, and usually just buy it already prepared, from the supermarket.
I bought two grey sole fillets, and covered them in parsnip seasoning (which is fine also for fish, according to the packet), and then fried them in butter. Very nice!
The fishmonger asked me if I needed a bag to put them in, but I showed him the one I was carrying, and he said, “Ah – She sent you out with a bag.”
