Compared to the Mursi, the Karo village we visited was more relaxed, and you can see from the short video clip below that it was also much more tidy.
With a population of about 1500, the Karo are one of the smallest groups in the Omo. Their speciality is body painting.
We had a good laugh with these people. I was still a bit edgy from the Mursi visit, and when I took a photo of the men above they suddenly shouted and came towards me. I must have looked terrified. Then they burst out laughing and said “Only joking”.
