I’m enjoying reading The Dragon’s Gift, by Deborah Brautigam, which Jamie bought to back up his studies. I’ve only just started reading the book, but it seems well informed.
It is very important to understand what China is currrently doing with respect to its involvement in Africa. There are obviously lots of false opinions on this topic, and this book goes some way to correcting many of them.
Delving into multiple layers of Chinese politics, inside China and outside, is always fascinating.
