This is Duff House, near Banff, which is well worth a visit even though the tearoom closes mid-afternoon at just the moment that you need a reviver after walking through some extremely interesting rooms and exhibits [“Please note that the Tearoom is open until 4pm throughout the year (last serving is 15 mins before closing)”]. We arrived in the tearoom at 3.50pm 😦 .
You are not allowed to take photos within the house, so all I can show are the toilets.
In amongst the exibits and paintings, I was interested in the Duff who was a part of the discussions about the Act of Union 1707. Who were these guys, and what was their angle?
Were you forced to drink the pink sticky stuff on the toilet sink or not?
That’s what posh people use to wash theiir hands.
The Duffs may have been the brewing dynasty behind Duff Beer.
