I’ve just had a short paper published in the quarterly journal of the Multimedia Information and Technology Group. The MmIT is a Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) group. Many thanks go to the managing editor, Catherine Dhanjal.
MmIT Journal is available from here.
JournalTOCs: free resource for researchers now also in Premium
Roddy MacLeod: Multimedia Information & Technology Journal, V39(1), February 2013.
After introducing JournalTOCs, the freely available journal current awareness service, the article looks at JournalTOCs Premium, which enables the JournalTOCs service to be customised in order to give a library’s patrons easy access to the full text of the most recent papers published in the journals to which a library/institution subscribes. It also looks at how the Premium service hopes to develop in the future – to systematically identify the full-text availability of Open Access at the article level regardless of where and how those articles have been published (i.e. in OA or hybrid journals); to implement a solution to distinguishing first-online issues; and to incorporate ORCID to solve name ambiguity problems.
Congrats!
